Back-up Policy


This document is intended to provide details of the backup and retrieval of Customer Data offered by Twinview.


1. Data Back-up: Twinview shall back-up Customer Data in accordance with the provisions of the Terms of Use, and as follows:

  • All data including Customer Data shall be backed up daily during an overnight process onto a secure data store.
  • Backups are undertaken regularly, and we employ the grandfather-Father-Son backup strategy.  Platform Daily Backups are kept for a minimum of 30 days and are held on a dedicated backup server, this can be amended on a client-by-client basis if required by utilizing a dedicated server (on premise or cloud).

  • Backups containing customer data is kept for 30 Days, in accordance with legal obligations and ICO advice.   This however can be amended on a client-by-client basis and agreed in the Terms and client specific SLA.

  • The Twinview company’s internal business servers are backed up every night, with weekly tape backups to a secure off-site location.

  • The BCP IT plan is tested and assessed every 12 months as defined in the Buisness Continuity Plan doucment, which is availible upon request.

  • The Customer may purchase enhanced back-up services separately at Twinviews’s then current rates.

2. Data Recovery:

  • In the event of any loss or damage to Customer Data, Twinview shall use all reasonable commercial endeavours to restore the lost or damaged Customer Data from the latest back-up of such Customer Data maintained by Twinview, under the provisions of the Terms of Use.
